Today we continued on our project 7. I started to mess around with the piano part in my piece. As i said before i am going for a jazzy sound and the piano will really make it sound great. I am having the sound degress down in a very fast pitch way so it sounds really great. Overall I am sad to say nothing really got done, but ideas grew and I think that by the time the new year gets her, everything will be under control and I should have a great piece.

Today we officially started on our project 7. The format I am going to use is AABA. I think this will work very good. The sound I am going for is a jazzy sound. The riff machine as well as the chopping tool made a really cool jazzy riff that I absoluetly love. Hopefully this will grow more and more throughout the week. I hope to add a really cool jazz piano part as well. I think it will turn out good.

Today we finished project 6 and started project 7. I am excited because we can do whatever we want with this project. Hope it comes out good!

After quite some time, my project 6 is finally done. I am very happy with how it came out. First we had to learn how to use the sytrus which took some time because it was a little overwhelming. Being able to be in cotrol of everything was harder then it sounds because now you had to make every choise on your own, and there were so many choices. Once we learned how to use the citrus, we used this machine called the riff machine. This gave us a ton of riffs that we could choose from. I chose one that was sorta of techno. At first i only had my riff playing in the beginning but that i decided to add some drums so i put a simple beat in the beginning and then a drum roll to start off my second stanza of the riff. I also added a cymbol every 4 beats to add some flavor. I think the hardest part of this project for me was finding another riff to contrast with my first one. My pattern was so unique that finding another one that sounded simliar to it was pretty difficult. I searched for some time, and then finally found one that I liked. Even though I found a good one, I still had to find a way for the first one to go into the second one smoothly. Finally I decided on a kick drum that had the four basic beats but then an added one on the 5th 9th and 12th step. I also put in a clap to start off my next riff. Once that riff plays it goes into the first one again and right before it ends, it repeats the beginning drum beat almoost copying the first part of my project. I like this alot, and i hope you do too!!

Today we started to go on our own and start our project. We have to find two riffs from the riff machine and put them together for at least a total of 32 beats. My first pattern is coming along good and I hope to get the second one done next time.
